Mega Plaza Saphan Lek (เมก้า พลาซ่า สะพานเหล็ก), a paradise for toy model lovers, is Thailand’s most extensive collection of toys and collectables. It is also a source of digital cameras, both new and used. The large shopping mall of Mega plaza is in Bangkok’s old commercial district, which is now home to many shops relocated from the Iron Bridge, including the famous legendary outlets.
Most of the products here are imported overseas, and some are shipped directly from factories manufactured in the country. Products in the store are both retail and wholesale.
Located on Mahachai Road, Wang Burapha Phirom, Phra Nakhon District, Bangkok, the Mega Plaza is near the Khlong Ong Ang canal.
Inside the 6-Floor-Mall, there are several zones divided by floor. The merchandise here features various toys and collectables for all ages, including weird toys, game consoles, rare collectable games, classic games, game consoles, bricks, lego blocks, BB guns, card games, and game discs, cabinet figures, drones, model puppets, radio-controlled players, remote control cars, children’s cars, robots, dolls, skateboards, masks, teenage clothes with cartoon patterns, and comic books.
As for other products, one will find fashion clothes, watches, jewelry, accessories, hand-made decorations, various items, gift shops, and imported dessert shops.
There are also numerous game repair shops. The camera zone is on the 5th floor, filled with shops selling new and used cameras, lenses, flashes, tripods, camera bags, and accessories.
Mega Plaza’s highlight items are the toy models, which collectors tend to seek out with every release. Many models require pre-orders before picking them up at the store.
How to get here: You can take the MRT to Sam Yot Station, Exit number 1.
If you bring your car, you can park on the Mega Plaza, China World, and Thai Thanu Building (across the building and walk across the overpass).
