Victory Monument, a prime location in the city’s heart, is one of Bangkok’s most important transportation hubs. It serves as the most significant public transportation point in and out of the suburbs and can travel to every zone of the city as well. This neighbourhood is home to many famous hospitals and medical institutions — the area is the busiest one in Thailand.
Many restaurants have great taste and satisfy Thai people who have come to try, mainly several renowned boat noodle shops. And opposite the famous hospital are some of the most popular drugstores in the capital.
The vicinity of the Victory Monument is a source of entertainment at night. There are a few nationally skilled bands that can please music lovers. And one can find private parking spaces somewhere around there.
Not far away, there is Soi Rangnam, a lifestyle street that is a meeting point for hanging out with friends after work. It offers many chill shops, pubs, bars, and eateries along both sides of the alley, including Thai, Isaan, and international restaurants. Moreover, there is a duty-free shopping centre well-known to Thai and foreign tourists. This alley is a place of luxury housing too.
Located in Ratchathewi, the Victory Monument roundabout was formerly known as Sanam Pao Intersection. There are four islands in total: 1. Koh Din Daeng 2. Koh Phaya Thai 3. Koh Ratchawithi 4. Koh Phaholyothin.
It is near the expressway entrance and exit and is a bus stop for many passengers from all over Bangkok. There is a queue of vans that go to many provinces — which many lines will pass through tourist attractions and accommodation. The intersection connects the main roads that go into and out of the city many routes. And there is a BTS station that makes it convenient to travel.
Today, this transportation hub is surrounded by many important places, including office buildings, shopping malls, 3-star and 4-star hotels, hostels, duty-free shopping malls, supermarkets, luxury condominiums, high-end apartments, commercial buildings, government offices, markets, fashion stores, popular drugstores, clinics, legendary restaurants, chic coffee shop, cafes, street food shops, steak restaurant, pork pan buffet restaurants, a la carte restaurants, and sundries shops.
Furthermore, you can find theatres, cinemas, parks, public libraries, clothing stores, necessities, and minimart — most of the goods and food here are suitable for all ages, and the price is not high.
Countless teenagers, university students, working people, and tourists from other provinces come to buy things in the evening.
Consumers with purchasing power in this area are medical personnel, pharmacists, nurses, teachers, and medical students.
The “Victory Monument” was built to honor the heroism of the polices, soldiers and civilians — who died during the incident dispute over the Thai-Indochina border between Thailand and France and many deaths.
