It is an important area for Thais and foreigners in the city of angels, the country’s largest financial district, the significant economic street of Bangkok.

It is a central business district or CBD in the land of smiles, known for being filled with office buildings of many famous companies; large private-sector workplaces both nationally and globally. Located near the Chao Phraya River and Lumphini Park, Sathorn is one of the most progressive locations and is growing all the time and never sleeps.

At present, Sathorn is the office location of many large companies; especially noticeable are banking offices and financial institutions, airline company offices, and air ticketing companies from many countries.

The area is filled with tall buildings and modern skyscrapers overlooking the beautiful view of the Chao Phraya River, offices buildings, offices for rent, embassies, consulates, 5-star hotels, high-end condominiums, shops, restaurants, supermarkets, department stores with both Thai and international brands, housings, international schools, educational institutions, and leading hospitals, many public and private landmarks with complete facilities.

Sathorn has been a popular area for foreigners for a long time. Until developed as a famous international business center in Thailand, it attracts people from all groups, making it more charming than the general old city. It also used to be the residence of high-ranking people in urban society in the past.

In many places in this district, we can still see the classic aura that remains from the past to the present, whether it is a colonial architecture building from the colonial era, home of famous social people in the past, and old shops. Living in the Sathorn area is still a perfect blend of the ancient and the modern.

The Rama4 Intersection – Sathorn (Thai-Belgium Bridge) is the starting point of the Sathorn Road, divided into two sides: North Sathorn in Silom (Bangrak district) and South Sathorn in Yannawa and Thung Mahamek (Sathorn district). The road is approximately 3 kilometers long, which connects Rama IV and Charoen Krung.

It can be accessed from many directions, including Narathiwat Ratchanakarin, Yen Akat, Nang Linchi, Rama IV, and Rama 3. It is among the most easily accessible areas in Bangkok because it connects to many major roads, including Surasak BTS Station and Chong Nonsi BTS Station.
